Drinking A Glass of Hot Water Nets Big Health Benefits

This is an excellent article touting the benefits of drinking a glass of or glasses of hot water daily. It's probably best to drink a cup of hot water with a little lemon first thing in the morning to get everything flowing and to support the body's cleansing process from early on in the day. Hmmmm, maybe a cup of good organic coffee first would be okay? The avocado is a tree native to Central Mexico, but grown all over the world for its popularity and health benefits. I've always heard that the avocado was nature's butter but it's also known to aid in reproductive health, especially for woman. There are many other beneficial reasons to indulge in the amazingly delicious and creamy fruit/vegetable. I love this green gem!!!

Not only are they delicious and packed with beneficial monounsaturated fat, avocado slows digestion and helps keep blood sugar from spiking after a meal. A diet high in good fats may even help reverse insulin resistance, which translates to steadier blood sugar long-term.

Avocados are a great source of lutein, a carotenoid that works as an antioxidant and helps protect against eye disease. They also contain the related carotenoids zeaxanthin, alpha-carotene and beta-carotene, as well as tocopherol (vitamin E). But avocados aren’t just a rich source of carotenoids by themselves—they also help you get more of these nutrients from other foods. Carotenoids are lipophilic (soluble in fat, not water), so eating carotenoid-packed foods like fruits and vegetables along with monounsaturated-fat-rich avocados helps your body absorb the carotenoids.
